My niece had tols me about a similar thing about six months back. Apparently, women who are pregnant exhibit a stronger attraction to more nurturing and sensitive men, men who would make good fathers and would help them take care of the children. Women who are not pregnant tend to be attracted to more masculine men, the alpha male types.

Since the pill induces the same hormone response as pregnancy, women's taste in men change if they are on it.
