Oy!

So, my downstairs neighbor decides to come home at midnight last night. And he likes to park his pickup right outside my bedroom windows. So of course the highbeams of his headlights wake me up (despite the closed blinds). And then someone else pulls up beside him. And then they decide to hang out on his porch for a while. Which is also directly underneath my bedroom window. They weren't quite having a party, per se, at least I heard no music, and they weren't arguing or fighting, but what they *were* doing was talking. Loudly. Loudly enough that I could hear them through the closed windows *and* my earplugs. Arrrgh. Okay. Sometime a few minutes later the person/people leave and I fall back asleep. Only to be woken up again for a repeat at 2 am. And another at 3 am.

Sheesh people, it's fucking Sunday night and some of us get up at 6 am to work Monday mornings, knock off with the chitchatting or else take it inside and keep it down willya!

Ah, the joy of apartment living, how I rediscover thee.

This morning, naturally, I am tired, sluggish, and am having trouble focussing, so I drink coffee. Which wires me up enough to keep awake but also puts me into lala land where it takes twice as long to do anything and makes it much much harder to concentrate.

*grumble*

Oh, and this, btw, was the guy who was described to me before I moved in as "Quiet, keeps to himself, never been a problem."

*snort*

Oh, and this would happen on the day when my computer, after unexplainedly crashing/rebooting/crashing on reboot/lather/rinse/repeating last week, went down to corporate for their computer guy to look at it and thus I am on another machine and without my music, which would help me 1) stay awake and 2) concentrate.

*le sigh*
