A Minor Mystery

Today I purchased a table easel/drafting board which is adjustable to differing angles. I intend to use this for learning calligraphy. The odd thing about the easel is, that when I got it home I discovered that there was a piece of Jolly Rancher candy, still in its wrapping, inside the shrinkwrap covering the easel. There are no holes in the shrinkwrap. Very curious.

...that would have to be my reaction upon recieving the following in my mailbox today (unsolicited, I hardly need add!):
The exterior back of the envelope says[1]:
DEAR JESUS, WE PRAY THAT YOU WILL BLESS SOMEONE IN THIS HOME SPIRITUALLY, PHYSICALLY, & FINANCIALLY. AND PLEASE DEAR LORD, BLESS THE ON WHO'S HANDS OPEN THIS LETTER. MAKE GOOD CHANGES IN THIS ONE'S LIFE AND GIVE THEM THE DESIRES OF THEIR HEART. WE PRAY OVER AND BLESS THIS LETTER IN YOUR HOLY NAME. AMEN
[1] All spellings, punctuations, captializations, underlines, bolds, italics, etc., reproduced from the original.
The desires of my heart, hmmm? I can think of more than a few things that these people wouldn't want to happen (including every single one of them suddenly and permanently taking up residence in the 9th Circle of Hell) that I could ask for right now. But I went ahead and opened it, thinking that it might amuse me. I was right.
( Rather long, but weirdly amusing. )
