The power cord gnomes seem to have maybe gotten to the clock on your computer, too.
(I use an old fashioned wind-up alarm clock. It works OK, except for the fact that I've learned it will stop making that noise eventually if I ignore it long enough, so it's a good thing that moxie_man is an early riser and very conscientious about letting the cats in to harass me in the morning.
