Yesterday...

Yesterday I watched four bucks, one of which was losing his antlers, jump and play in a snowy field.

Yesterday I watched a young hawk repeatedly try to catch a bird at our backyard feeders, and fail.

Yesterday I drank lemon tea with honey and watched the snow fall.

Yesterday I was happy.

Four bucks, and you didn't shoot even one of them?

That would have totally defeated the purpose, m'dear.

I used to have deer in my back yard when I lived just outside of Buffalo in a more suburban setting. They'd come into the yard, stand on their hind legs, and eat out of the bird feeder. My first thought when I saw them was, "Aw, how cute." My second thought was, "Where's my gun? I'm hungry for venison!" Didn't think the neighbors who live across the yard would appreciate that, though... :)

We should surgically graft a digital camera to your upper arm or something, living where you live...

Thanks for sharing, sweet.

You know, days go by here and all we see are the usual birds and squirrels, but every so often, something will happen that is magical.

Yesterday, there were two such. Three, if you count the snow. *smile*

Many blessings indeed, and I wish I did have a digital camera to share them with you.
