As most people know, I am not a big coffee drinker. Regular coffee is worthy of toleration only if I am excessively sleep-deprived and it comes with tons of sugar and sufficient cream. For most purposes, I massively prefer tea, cocoa, or cider. Specialty coffees (cappucinos, espressos) are an exception to this rule. For one thing, they tend to be made from superior coffee to start with, and then they put all sorts of sweet, creamy, nifty flavors into the coffee until it really doesn't taste like coffee anymore. Recently, I came into possession of a "try one for free" coupon for a container of Folgers' Cafe Latte. I elected to try the Mocha Fusion, and oh man, am I hooked. Sweet, chocolatey goodness, mmmm....

Um, I don't want to sound like a coffee snob or anything (well, okay, I do), but where on Earth do you but coffee that esperesso is filled with sweet and creamy flavors to make it not taste like coffee?!?!?!? That's like, the complete antithesis of espresso! Like, anti-espresso!

(Note I'm not objecting to the concept of sweet and creamy additions to coffee, just the abuse of terminology.)

Also, you have taken the first step on the path of darkness. Sure, you start with something innocuous like Folgers' Mocha Fusion instant coffee. But next thing you know, you'll be mainlining Kona and Sumatra with the rest of us.

(And now I just totally put myself in the mood for some coffee...)

Or snorting the grounds directly. I've seen it happen and it's not pretty.

Um, that should be "where do you buy coffee."

I didn't mean to imply that espresso has cream in it, but you *can* get shots of sweet flavored syrups in it, right? And then I would just dump cream in it myself. I know, I know, probably a violation of some law. That's why I usually stick with cappucinos. I just included espressos for completeness, as I actually have ingested them in the past. And they *are* gourmet coffees, after all.
