lederhosen:
1. Chemistry - which branch is coolest?
Organometallic. I find the atomic structures of complexes to be aesthetically quite beautiful.
2. Biggest irrational fear?
Success *and* failure, at the same time, about the same thing.
3. Opera: are modern adaptations a wonderful idea, sacrilegious rubbish, or somewhere in between?
If you're talking "rock operas" ala Webber and Les Miserables, hell yeah, they're wonderful!
4. Ireland: when did your ancestors leave it, and why?
Multiple on that, since I have it via several distant lineages but the most recent was my grandfather's family and I think it was either his parents or grandparents. Not sure why, although probably the same economic factors as most Irish.
5. If you moved out of Texas, would you still be texas_tiger?
I'm not that Texan. Yes, I live here, but I actually came up with the ID before I moved here. I just wanted something alliteral to go with "tiger". So yes, I wouldn't change it, but not because I identify with Texas. It's simply too much work.
If you want to be interviewed, reply in a comment and I will answer with five questions. You answer them in your own LJ and post this offer to your friends.
