(no subject)
Feb. 26th, 2005 03:14 pmMy life is so busy at the moment that you'd *think* I couldn't possibly be bored. Nevertheless my brain apparantly found the time to come up with the following. Feel free to add to or otherwise modify:
The Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? Drinking Game:
(As an aside, anyone reading this who has not seen this movie get thee to Blockbuster! Hilariously funny, based on a work of classic literature, with a uniformly solid cast, what's not to like?)
Rules:
1) Every time you spot a reference to the Odyssey, take a drink (this may be aided by the trivia page for Oh Brother, Where Art Thou at IMDB, if you're still sober enough to get online).
2) Every time someone says "Damn, we're in a tight spot!", take a drink.
3) Every time Ulysses McGill tries to talk his way out of trouble, take a drink.
3a) If he succeeds, take another drink.
4) Every time the trio gain money, or a car, take a drink.
5) Every time the trio encounters an obstacle, take two drinks.
6) Every time there's a reference to Dapper Dan (visual counts, too), take a drink.
7) Every time someone refers to a Hogswallop, take a drink.
8) Every time someone refers to the treasure, take a drink.
9) Every time you hear "A Man of Constant Sorrow" playing, take a drink.
10) Every time Ulysses uses a disguise, take a drink.
11) Every time Penny counts to three, take three drinks.
12) If you're still sober by the end, when the seven girls cross the railroad tracks, take seven drinks.
Enjoy!
( I have read ten or more books by each of the following authors )
