standing silent, alone.

suffering, grief
oceans of tears
a voice crying in pain

So many people.
So many leaves
scattered before the wind.

joyful, happy
or acutely sad
emotions swirl

So many people.
So many smiles
secure peace at last.

I finally understand
for the first time;
for the millionth time:

This is life.
